So here is a one owner “never restored” 1970 Semi Auto Classic Bug. We were told of this bug from the original family in Nutly NJ, lil ole lady bug.

We picked her up and were able to get her running back at the shop.

The Semi Auto bugs were from 1968-1974, so a short lifespan! They are pretty unique in the VW world, there is no clutch, but you can still shift though. This bug was owned by the lil ole 85 year old lady in NJ, family called me up to make an offer on the car, so we did.

Fenders do show dents and bumps, but they are original. The only real rust repair needed on this bug is the drivers side “rocker fastening panel” and the “bottom” heater channel portion, you do not have to cut out the whole heater channel. Floors are in great shape. Numbers match all around. What is great is that we got the engine to purr after 20 years of sitting.

Very cool lil bug that would make a great project for a father son! I also have the original title from 1970.
